Sophie & Oliver's Wirral Wedding – St John’s Church & The Manor at Greasby 12th April 2025

Sophie and Oliver got married on a sunny April day on the Wirral, with a relaxed and personal celebration surrounded by family and friends.

The morning started at Sophie’s family home in Greasby, where I joined the bridal party for prep at 11am. Makeup was done by the brilliant @bridalbyhollsdolls, and the house was full of activity – dresses, coffee, and a few final touches to the flowers from @stamensflowers. Sophie was joined by her best friend Beth as Maid of Honour, her sister Steph, niece Rachel, and close friend Sam as bridesmaids.

The ceremony took place at St John’s the Baptist Church in Meols, a lovely, light-filled space that suited the laid-back feel of the day. Oliver was there with his brother Chris as Best Man, and their good friend Arthur as Groomsman. Their son Sammy, 2.5 years old, had an important role too – Mini Best Man. He absolutely stole the show.

After the ceremony, we took some relaxed portraits nearby before heading to The Manor at Greasby for the reception. With 42 guests during the day and another 42 joining in the evening, the atmosphere stayed intimate but lively. Guests had time to catch up and enjoy a drink in the sun before heading in for speeches at 2pm. The speeches were short, funny, and full of great stories – exactly what they needed to be.

Dinner was served around 1:30pm, and I stepped out for a break while everyone tucked in. By 4:30pm, the meal was finished, and the evening flowed straight into cake cutting and the first dance at 5pm.

Throughout the day, I worked with Sophie’s Pinterest board as a guide – the focus was on natural light, candid moments, and real connections. No overposing, just genuine moments as they happened.

Big thanks to Sophie and Oliver for having me along to document the day – it was a pleasure to be there.
