Amy & Connaire’s wedding in Manchester city centre was proof that small weddings can be just as mint as big ones. With just three guests, a laid-back vibe, and zero fuss, their day was all about what actually matters—getting married and having a top time doing it.

A Simple and Proper Lovely Ceremony

The couple had a quiet ceremony at Manchester’s registry office with just their nearest and dearest. No stress, no big production—just the two of them saying their vows. After that, we stepped outside for a quick confetti throw, always a winner for some proper happy shots.

A Walk Through Town for Photos on Film

After the ceremony, we took a stroll through Manchester city centre for some portraits. The mix of old buildings, red brick streets, and city buzz made for a class backdrop. I shot a mix of 35mm and 120 film—Ilford HP5 400 for those timeless black-and-white shots and Kodak Portra 400 for warm, natural tones.

Film just gives wedding photos that extra bit of character, proper nostalgic and full of life.

Champagne & Scran at Dishoom

Once we’d wrapped up the portraits, the newlyweds and their guests headed to Dishoom for a meal and some champagne. Good food, good company, and a proper chilled-out way to finish off the day.

Straight Off to Thailand

The day after, Amy & Connaire were on a plane to Thailand to kick off their honeymoon. No hanging about—just straight into their next adventure. Their whole wedding was a top example of how keeping it simple doesn’t mean missing out on anything.
