Natural Wedding Photography at Rhoscolyn on the Isle of Anglesey
The Isle of Anglesey is truly a special place and I always enjoy visiting there. So when being asked by Victoria and Huw to be their wedding photographer I was thrilled to say the least. To have the pleasure of capturing celebrations at this stunning venue and using my film cameras to preserve each moment in my not-so-award-winning natural style was was an amazing experience. It's a place I absolutely loved working at.
The stunning church venue was nestled down the single track country lanes of Rhoscolyn on the south edge of Anglesey. Their preparations took place just a stones throw away, surrounded by beautiful sea and wind shaped cliffs. Couples choose me for my natural style of wedding photography, where I capture moments without them even realising it. While the approach is spontaneous, the quality and finish of the images and album come from creatively following and photographing people throughout the day.
Packed to the Rafters
Safe to say the quaint little church was absolutely full to bursting - with many of the groomsmen and wedding party having to stand right at the back - as one of my images shows! After a slightly late start the nerves relaxed and the ceremony was a proper celebration with plenty of songs and laughter. I love photographing Isle of Anglesey weddings.
Drinks, canapes and a good party on the shores of Anglesey
After the ceremony at Rhoscolyn Church, everyone made the most of the clear in the rainy weather by heading to the seaside reception. Family and friends gathered on the pier for photos, enjoying lively conversations and laughter, all while taking in the views of the ocean and rocky cliffs at this wonderful venue. The Evening finished with party anthem band Brassienda performing the very best music. Above is a selection of photos from the day, capturing genuine moments in a natural style, mostly using just natural light, and few of the dancing with my portable studio flash.
